The US Department of Commerce, US & Foreign Commercial Service, works closely with small and medium size companies to offer them a unique link to overseas market information. They provide a variety of programs and services to assist South Dakota companies in expanding their market opportunities abroad. The US & Foreign Commercial Service has offices in 70 countries and in 96 U.S. cities, and utilizes these offices for market information, market research, and trade leads.

The Office of International Trade at the US Small Business Administration works in cooperation with other federal agencies and public and private sector groups to encourage and assist small business exports. The office actively markets SBA's loan guaranty programs to small business exporters and lenders.
